Getting started
Create your account, confirm it, and climb the three verification levels.
What you'll need
- An e-mail address you can open
- A Nigerian phone number
- Your NIN (and BVN if you will list or transact)
- A phone or laptop camera for the liveness check

- The right profile types for what you want to do
- Level 2 (chat and book) or Level 3 (list and transact)
Step 1 of 7
Create your account
Choose how you are signing up, tell us what you need, then fill in a few details.
- Pick An individual or A company (companies add a company name and CAC number).
- Choose every profile that fits: Buyer, Tenant, Seller, Landlord, Agent, Caretaker or Developer. You can add more later.
- Pick a username. It is public, so avoid anything you would not put on a business card.
- Use a phone number you answer. It is shared only with a lister after they confirm your viewing.
- Choose a password of 10+ characters. A short sentence works well.
Good to know
You can hold several profiles at once, for example Buyer and Landlord. Nothing is locked in.

Confirm your e-mail
We send a confirmation link. Opening it activates your account and moves you to level 1.
- The link works for 48 hours and can be used once.
- No e-mail? Check spam, or use send it again on the page.
- On this demo environment e-mail is not connected yet, so the link is shown on screen instead. Just click it.
Careful
Never forward your confirmation or password-reset link to anyone. Bricks & Click staff will never ask for it.

Understand the three levels
Every person on the platform is verified to a level, so you always know who you are dealing with.
- Level 1, Registered: e-mail confirmed. You can browse, search and save.
- Level 2, ID verified: your NIN is verified. You can chat with listers and book viewings.
- Level 3, Transaction-ready: NIN + BVN + liveness. You can publish listings and issue or receive invoices.

Verify your NIN
This is the step that unlocks chat and viewing requests.
- Open Account → Verification. Type your 11-digit NIN and tick the consent box.
- Your name is then locked to match your ID, so use your real name when you register.
- One NIN can back only one account, which stops people creating fake duplicates.
Good to know
In this demo, numbers are accepted after a format check. When a real ID provider is connected, they are checked against the national records.
Step 5 of 7
Add your BVN and a liveness check (Level 3)
Needed if you will publish listings or issue and receive invoices.
- Enter your 11-digit BVN and date of birth. We never see balances or accounts, and a BVN cannot move money.
- The liveness check asks for three quick photos (for example look straight, turn left, smile). Use good light and no hat or sunglasses.
- No camera? You can upload a clear photo for each step instead.
- A real person on our team may review the photos. They are encrypted and used only for this check.

Lock down your account
Two-step sign-in adds an authenticator-app code to your password. It takes two minutes.
- Open Account → Security and choose Set up two-step sign-in.
- Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password, then enter the 6-digit code.
- Lost a phone or used a shared computer? Sign out of all devices ends every session.

Find your way around
A few places you will use every day.
- The bell shows notifications: viewing updates, invoices, new matches for your saved searches.
- The speech bubble is your inbox. A red number means unread messages.
- The heart opens saved homes and saved searches.
- Your avatar menu has your listings, viewings, invoices, verification and settings.

Common questions
Do I have to verify to browse?
No. Anyone can browse and search. You need to be signed in and at level 2 to chat or book a viewing.
Why is my name locked?
Once your NIN is verified, your name must match your ID. Contact support if it needs correcting.
I signed up with the wrong profile type.
Open Account → Profile and tick or untick profile types any time.
Is my ID information safe?
NIN and BVN are encrypted, only our verification team can review them, and every view is logged. Other users see only your level.
